I'm really surprised you're not using the iplay4E site for the character sheet. It does all the tracking of hp and ap and even encounter powers and EVERYTHING. It links to the compendium, so you have the full text of each of your powers, and gives a very slick interface for anything CharacterBuldier-built.

(I heard there was an ipad interface issue with the site when the ipad first came out. I don't know if the iplay4E guys have fixed that yet. I've only used it on laptop and iphone.)

Great video. I really like the screen of iPad, altough I hope they will release larger versions as the screen is still a bit to small for full comfort. 12 inches would propably be ideal

Hey, I was really wanting to get an Ipad even before I knew the Ipad was coming out. I considered a Tablet PC, but didn't hear much good about them, but was still considering getting one, or even building my own.

Then when I heard the Ipad was coming out I held out for it, and I've just been bursting for a review just like this one before I bite the bullet. You are excellent, thank you!

This is exactly what i was looking for, one question. You say Ipad handles large pdf's (400 pages or so) very well. How about those pdf's with large size (say...100Mbs) and Pdf's made from large images? (no OCR)? Thanks
PD:Sorry for my english

The iPad handles large PDFs just fine. I've thrown several 80-100MB at it. Non-OCR (pure image) PDFs do render a little slower. You can't scrub through them quite as quickly and (obviously) lose the ability to search. Latest version of GoodReader has caching which also speeds up viewing.

I also went this route for my RPGs. I missed the opportunity to buy the D&D 4th Ed. pdfs from Wizards. Does Wizards not realize many folks are willing to buy a fully capable pdf versus a free, poor quality download? Out of disgust with WoTC, I sold off my D&D books and now only support games that provide official pdf versions.
